Spaghetti Arrabiata
Spaghetti arrabiata is a fiery spicy pasta that is soooo delicious! If you haven’t made it before, this is a must make!
Spaghetti Arrabiata is probably one of my favourite pastas, if it’s on the menu when I’m out I will most definitely order it!
It’s packed full of fresh ingredients, like fresh parsley, garlic, chillis and a good can of crushed tomatoes.
You could serve it with any pasta that you like, but I think that spaghetti goes well with the sauce!
My friends absolutely love this recipe when I make it for them and I think you will too, it’s a nice meat-free pasta that isn’t too heavy so it’s great to serve if you are having people over along with other dishes!
Also most importantly, it is so quick and easy to make!
Let me know if you love it!
Prep Time: 15 min
Cooking Time: 30 min
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
1/4 cup olive oil
2 red long chillis
4 garlic cloves crushed
1 bunch flat parsley
1 TSP Italian herbs
1.5 can chopped tomatoes (600g)
1 TSP brown sugar
Sea salt flakes to taste
Fresh basil to garnish
Spaghetti or pasta of choice
Method:
In a fry pan, heat the olive oil over a low heat
Finely chop up the chillis and crush the garlic
Add into the pan and let it simmer for a few mins, make sure it doesn't burn so keep it on a low heat
Finely chop all the parsley, keep half of it aside for later
Add half the parsley into the pan with the Italian herbs and stir until combined
Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir
Add in brown sugar and sea salt flakes to taste
Bring to a simmer and reduce to a low heat, cook for 15 mins
Meanwhile, cook your pasta (remember water needs to be as salty as the sea !)
Drain your pasta and add into the sauce
Mix until the pasta is coated in sauce
Add another drizzle of olive oil and top with the remaining parsley
Serve with fresh basil and Parmesan!
