BBQ Prawn Skewers
Juicy flavour packed prawns for your next BBQ or healthy easy weeknight meal!
These prawns are on rotation at my house for quick and easy summer meals! I love to serve them with a fresh salad, and dinner is on the table in under half an hour - more time to spend outside enjoying the sun!
They also are great if you are having people over for a bbq to serve as a starter - my recipe makes 4 skewers but you could very easily double or triple the recipe to make more.
They are packed full of some of my favourite flavours - garlic, lemon, chilli, parsley & sweet paprika, each bite seriously bursts with flavour.
Serve with a side of lemon and you are good to go.
If you make them, let me know in the comments below!
Prep Time: 10 min
Cooking Time: 10 min
Serves: 4 skewers
Ingredients:
16 raw green prawns
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1/2 red or green chilli, finely chopped
2 TBS finely chopped parsley
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 TBS olive oil
1 TSP sweet paprika
Pinch sea salt flakes
4 Skewers
Method:
Soak your skewers in water to stop them from burning when you cook
Peel the prawns leaving the tails intact (you can remove the tail if you like!)
Place in a bowl and add the garlic, chilli, lemon juice, olive oil, sweet paprika, parsley and salt.
Mix together until combined and leave to marinate for 5 mins max.
Thread the prawns onto the skewers - I did 4 prawns per skewer
Heat a bbq or pan over a high heat, add the skewers and cook for a few mins on each side until the prawns start to turn orange. They don’t need long and you don’t want to overcook them!
Serve as a starter at a BBQ or as a main with a salad for dinner in summer!
